Manufacturing quality

Paragon Carpet Tiles is proud of its long-standing history of designing, producing and supplying high-quality commercial carpet tiles from its site in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

The company has a rich heritage in commercial flooring, while constantly evolving to design and develop innovative solutions for contemporary spaces.

It has forged a reputation as a market leader, with a wide collection of design-led tufted commercial carpet tiles that deliver creativity and functionality in equal measure.

Leading design

Paragon Carpet Tiles prides itself on delivering design-led commercial carpet tiles, with the functionality and durability to perform in the toughest of settings.

The company’s collection of design-led solutions, offers specifiers, architects, interior designers and flooring contractors an almost infinite variety of modern colour combinations, textures and patterns, suitable for every kind of commercial flooring application.

Its leading products include the Inspiration Collection, which has drawn on themes around flora and fauna, the tide, tree bark and animal patterns and Vapour, which provides a resemblance to cloud formations and clear blue sky.

The environment

Paragon Carpet Tiles is committed to having a positive impact on the environment through every aspect of its operations.

The company’s facility is one of the lowest emission carpet tile manufacturing sites in Europe, featuring a state of the art ventilation system and environmentally friendly fixtures throughout.

The company also aims to make its carpet tiles as environmentally friendly as possible.

Up to 80% of Paragon Carpet Tiles‘ products are manufactured using recycled material. Alongside this, the ‘Envirobase’ backing used on all its ranges is manufactured from a minimum of 75% recycled contents.

Products such as Total Contrast are manufacturing using ‘ECONYL’ yarn, from our partners, Aquafil. ECONYL is the brand name for Aquafil’s recycled fishing net products, which the company rescues from oceans and landfill sites across the world.

The history

Since being established in 1997, the company has been and continues to be, a major player in the carpet tile industry, both in the UK and internationally.

Paragon Carpet Tiles started manufacturing as a small operation with just three product ranges.

However, due to the company’s reputation for quality and service, this grew rapidly. Paragon Carpet Tiles now has an extensive range, alongside a specialist entrance matting division, Mat.Works Entrance Solutions.

National Floorcoverings

Paragon Carpet Tiles forms part of National Floorcoverings Ltd, a family-owned group that can trace its UK-manufacturing roots back to the late 1800s.

The Group consists of; Paragon Carpet Tiles; Heckmondwike, manufacturers of fibre-bonded carpets and carpet tiles; Playrite, producers of indoor and outdoor sports surfaces; and Mat.Works Entrance Solutions, providers of specialist entrance area solutions.

Over the years, the company has grown significantly and now has a multi-million pound turnover’, while employing hundreds of staff, most of which are local to the five manufacturing facilities in Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

National Floorcoverings

With UK manufacturing at its core, where possible, the Group ensures UK-based raw materials, packaging and services are sourced for its operations.

It takes a colossal supply network to ensure a combined 46,000 m² of facilities run efficiently 365 days of the year.

Alongside its strong UK presence, the Group is widely represented internationally, with the companies exporting to more than 50 countries.

Going forward, the Group is constantly investing to ensure its position as one of the leading commercial floorcovering designers and manufacturers in the UK.
