2014 CREATED A DYNAMIC STYLE STATEMENT
Stripes played a huge role in design for carpet tiles in 2014. The popular design added character to any space as well as adding a modern focal point. Many spaces have been jazzed up using striped flooring designs. The bright striped flooring was right on trend and created a dynamic style statement.
If bright stripes were not quite right, two toned designs made a big splash using complementary colours such as neon pinks, blues and lime greens. This design concept gave flexibility on the choice of mixing with corresponding feature walls and furniture, as well as bringing a fresh look to long corridors.
Coordinating accent colours and design proved to be an excellent method to introduce striking breakout areas, cut-outs or to define walkways for the floor.
While value for money still played a major part when selecting carpet tiles in 2014, design and colour was considered to be just as important when choosing the correct product. This has opened the door to designers putting carpet tiles at the forefront when designing a space.

2015 PASSION FOR PATTERN

From the start of 2015, carpet tile trends consisted of a rich variety of graphic and artistic solution that will compliment any space.
Many patterns can be created using a variety of colour or textured tiles and we have seen an increase in the growth of geometric shapes, as well as 25cm x 100cm tiles. These longer tiles can be used on their own or laid with conventional 50cm x 50cm tiles to give designers the flexibility to create a unique design. Designers have created jigsaw designs combined with shapes and colour. This unique geometric style is a sophisticated way to add a focal point to any space.
Colour continues to play a key role when creating a floor plan. A popular trend is using multiple colours across the floor surface, creating a colour graduation or cascade effect running across a room.
Grey tones too still remain on trend if offset with bold accessories and funky furniture; this eye catching idea can create a striking effect.
As a trend statement, flooring created using geometric design combined with vibrant colour has become a progressively popular technique to create an individual environment.
