Medway Street Angels aided by a different type of Paragon textile

Sometimes it’s nice to be involved in projects that aren’t just about £ notes and profit sheets! Of course Paragon Carpets is a commercial company, but the requirement to further social causes is as important a role as making the company a commercial success. As a manufacturer in the UK it seems even more important that Paragon replaces what it removes from the environmental economy.

In this instance Paragon Carpets worked with Steel Wolf Marketing and OMG Print to compile 2 pallets of clothing left over from various embroidery or manufacturing jobs. The pallets weighing 1.5 tonnes of clothing were then sent to Kent based Charity Medway Street Angels where it would be provided to local homeless people. The the few who ultimately received the clothing it seems Doncaster Rovers and Autralian Rugby shirts hit a particular chord with the locals!medway clothing pallet

We support the Homeless and those closest to it, within our community.

We run a daily schedule to help the homeless ;
Mondays we run a soup kitchen in Maidstone and street walk in Strood, Rochester and Chatham.
Tuesday we run a soup kitchen in Chatham,
Wednesday we street walk through Strood, Rochester, and Chatham
Thursday Soup kitchen in Chatham
Friday street walk through Strood, Rochester and Chatham. Soup kitchen in Gillingham.

We cover Rochester, Strood,  Hoo St Werburgh, Chatham, Gillingham, Sittingbourne, Maidstone.

Medway provides food, drinks, basic essentials, camping equipment and any other financial assistance we can give the homeless.
A selection of our team are first aid trained and drug trained. Trained Team leaders carry Narcon pens on the street so that they can administer in the event of a drug overdose, which has saved lives on numerous occasions.”
